Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

Renteaze is a rental marketplace platform operated by Lexx Corporate Limited, a technology and strategic consultancy firm incorporated in Nigeria (RC: xxxxxxxx), with registered offices in Lagos, Nigeria ("Renteaze," "we," "us," or "our").

Renteaze provides an online platform that connects property owners, service providers, and asset owners ("Hosts") with individuals seeking to rent those assets ("Guests"). We are a marketplace facilitator and are not a party to the rental agreements between Hosts and Guests.

2. Eligibility

To use Renteaze, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Nigerian law
• Not be barred from using our services under any applicable law
• Provide accurate and complete registration information

By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

3. Accounts & Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately at support@renteaze.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Listings & Hosts

Hosts are responsible for ensuring their listings are accurate, lawful, and do not infringe any third-party rights. All listings are subject to admin review and approval before going live.

• Hosts must have the legal right to rent out listed properties or assets
• Listing descriptions, photos, and pricing must be truthful and current
• Hosts must maintain adequate insurance where applicable
• Renteaze reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms

5. Bookings & Payments

All payments on Renteaze are processed securely via Flutterwave. By making a booking, you authorize Renteaze to charge the full booking amount including a 10% service fee.

• Bookings are confirmed only after successful payment verification
• The service fee is non-refundable unless Renteaze is at fault
• All prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (₦) unless otherwise stated
• Renteaze is not responsible for payment failures caused by your bank or card issuer

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation policies vary by listing. Unless a specific policy is stated on the listing:

• Guest cancellation 48+ hours before check-in: Full refund minus service fee
• Guest cancellation less than 48 hours before check-in: No refund
• Host cancellation: Full refund to guest; host may face penalties
• Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days via Flutterwave

Renteaze may, at its sole discretion, offer refunds in exceptional circumstances including natural disasters, government-imposed travel restrictions, or verified safety concerns.

7. Host Wallet & Payouts

Hosts receive 90% of each confirmed booking payment credited to their Renteaze Wallet. The remaining 10% is retained by Renteaze as a platform service fee.

• Wallet funds become available after the booking is confirmed
• Withdrawal requests are processed within 2 business days
• Minimum withdrawal amount is ₦1,000
• Renteaze is not a bank and wallet balances are not insured
• We reserve the right to withhold payouts pending fraud investigation

8. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
• Use the platform to facilitate illegal activities
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
• Attempt to circumvent our payment system by conducting off-platform transactions
• Scrape, copy, or republish our content without permission
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt our platform
• Create fake accounts or manipulate reviews

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and potential legal action.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on Renteaze — including the brand name, logo, design, code, and text — is the property of Lexx Corporate Limited and is protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

By submitting listing content (photos, descriptions), you grant Renteaze a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote that content on our platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

Renteaze acts as an intermediary marketplace only. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for the condition, accuracy, or safety of listed properties
• We are not responsible for disputes between Hosts and Guests
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount paid in the transaction giving rise to the claim
• We exclude all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for purpose

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved by:

• Informal resolution: Contact our support team within 30 days of the dispute
• Mediation: If informal resolution fails, parties agree to non-binding mediation
• Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
• Jurisdiction: Courts of Lagos State, Nigeria shall have exclusive jurisdiction

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of Renteaze after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
